This means that at Shelton . . . .

• Students in K–5 & ASD should arrive at 9:45 a.m.
• Preschool (PK) students should arrive at 10:00 a.m.
• YMCA before care is available starting at 8:30 a.m.
• Buses will run as usual, just 2 hours later than regular pick-up times.
• Breakfast will NOT be served.
• Students will enter through their usual entrances—the main entrance or preschool entrance.
• The rest of the school day will follow a regular schedule, including lunch and AMP
• Dismissal is at 2:35 p.m.
• If you keep your child home, please call the attendance line at 303-982-7650 to report the absence.

Grades K-5 students can arrive on campus by 7:30 a.m. at the front doors of the school. Adult supervision starts outside at 7:30 a.m. At 7:25 a.m. students needing breakfast will be let in by an adult to proceed to the cafeteria. At 7:30 a.m. all other students will be let in and they will go directly to their classroom to prepare for a day of learning.

Preschool students and their families may enter the building starting at 8:00 a.m. Please sign in at the main entrance and walk your child to their classroom.  If your preschool child will be eating breakfast at school, it is served from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. A parent or guardian must stay with them the entire time during breakfast.

Students will be escorted to their pick up location ie: Hug-n-Go (car riders), Walkers (garden), bus loop and the YMCA.  Students not picked up at the end of the day will be safely kept at the front office.  Parents must come into the building to pick them up.

Preschool parents can pick up their child at the double doors on the east side of the building beginning at 2:20 p.m. Each day, all preschool parents are required to sign their child out at dismissal.

If your child has different after school plans than normal, please send a note to the school to give to the teacher and front office.

If you child is riding the bus home with another student, you must notify the bus terminal (303)982-1998 and get preapproval. After getting approval from the bus terminal, please notify your child’s teacher and main office.

Please help us keep our students safe by giving advance notice if there is a change in after school plans.
